Repairs and Spares
Scooters used on a daily basis by children may suffer some wear and tear. This is not covered by the warranty but we do stock spare parts to repair scooters when necessary. These can be purchased on the website for a small admin fee and postage, or collected free of charge from us in Amsterdam.
See this video for demonstrations of changing parts.
Here are the fitting instructions:
B-bend - Loosen the two silver screws and remove the silver plate. Replace the 2 new b bend springs. Remount in reverse order.
U-bend - Undo the single screw in the middle of the spring on the underside of the scooter using a philipps screw driver and remove the broken spring (you might need to prise this out with the end of the screwdriver). Place the new spring round the ( ) bracket shapes and make sure the two prongs fit into the holes in the axle bar. Push the ubend down so it fits snugly round the brackets (don't be afraid to use a hammer) and replace the screw and washer.
T-bar Pin – Remove the old pin and spring. Insert the spring into the pin and replace in the t-bar shaft, ensuring the long side of the pin is at the bottom of the t-bar.
Brake - Undo the eight black screws on the underside of the scooter using a phillips screwdriver and remove the blue or pink deck off the black base. Undo the 2 silver screws on the brake and take out the bolts and old brake and replace with the new one. Replace the deck on the black base and replace the 8 screws.
Washer, right or left - Undo the eight black screws on the underside of the scooter using a phillips screwdriver and remove the blue or pink deck off the black base. Wipe the hole into which the Allen key bolt goes to ensure that it is clean and dry. Replace the Allen key bolt with the new one, placing the black plastic washer in the middle of it, make sure this corresponds to the left or right hand side as these are both different. When replacing the bolt make sure that the oblong end of the bolt is positioned nearest the floor. Tighten the bolt from the top and replace the deck on the black base and replace the 8 screws.
Deck - Undo the eight black screws on the underside of the scooter using a phillips screwdriver and remove the blue or pink deck off the black base. Place the new deck on the black base and replace the 8 screws.
Back or front wheel - Simply unscrew the allen key bolt, remove the old wheel and replace with the new one. Only the circular side of the bolt will actually turn.
